Mr. Tesla, Please Accept My Flowers

Nikola Tesla's talent was almost supernatural.

His enemies called him a madman, his admirers called him a genius, and the world at large regarded him as a mystery.

His life was brilliant and passionate. He was admired by famous figures such as Mark Twain and George Westinghouse, and adored by a whole host of society ladies.

Key points: a whole host, society ladies, adored him.

Alicia Morant was one of them.

Alicia: "I am like someone who has fallen in love with a dazzling star, yearning with all my heart to one day unite with it. He is so far above me; I cannot overstep my station to draw near to him, so I can only bask in his brilliant light and take comfort in a little of its reflected glow, to soothe my yearning..."

Tesla: "?"

Alicia: "The bed at my house is big and comfortable."
