Eloping

I want to elope with you, run to the farthest town, and become the happiest people alive.

Zheng Jun, "Elope"

*

Temporary blurb:

Tong Fei eloped into a flash marriage with a brat five years her junior.

A puppy-like boy she picked up while gaming.

The brat is handsome, fit, and has the personality of a dog.

Everyone says he's fickle and only playing around.

One day, he pins Tong Fei against the wall outside the marriage registration office. Holding up their freshly issued marriage certificate, he grins. "If I don't kiss you a couple of times, you'll never learn what it means to have me as your husband!"

*

"The whole world tells me to grow up. You're the only one who spoils me like a child."

The leads: both each other's first and only, and neither is a jerk.

[Airheaded middle-aged editor x sweet, silly young policeman]

I'm hopeless at writing blurbs, and it's driving me bald!!!

I'll revise it when inspiration strikes!

A little bonus scene, brought to you against my will:

Tong Fei's dog goes missing, so she reports it to the police.

The young policeman searches for days but can't find it.

He's tried everything he can think of.

Ji Fei crouches outside the police station, crying her eyes out.

The young policeman pats her shoulder sympathetically and asks, "Is it really that important?"

Ji Fei sniffles, her eyes swollen and her tear-streaked face a mess. She nods. "Very important. I can't sleep soundly without him."

The young policeman says, "We might not find the dog. How about you take me home instead?"
