A Fragrance That Penetrates to the Bone

As the emperor's most beloved consort, A Li always thought the crown prince didn't like her much. After all, that's how it seemed to go in novels. But she was different from the favored consorts in those stories. Most of the time, she stayed in her chambers and didn't cause trouble. She had also given birth to a daughter, so there was no question of fighting over the throne. Thinking it over, she decided that when the emperor passed away, the crown prince probably wouldn't make things too difficult for her. Later, the emperor died of a bout of chills, and the crown prince ascended the throne. He didn't make things difficult for her. He simply let her continue being his favored consort. - PS: Stepmother romance, an inexperienced man and a non-virgin woman. It may not make sense, but the author insists on a one-on-one romance. Theme: Live well.
