After Failing to Defeat the Demon, I Decided to Give Up

A moment's lapse in judgment by Shangguan Ling allowed the Demon King Zhuo Zhan to escape his prison.

Zhuo Zhan's demonic arts are peerless, his methods ruthless, and he never lets a slight go unanswered.

Most of the immortal sects took part in the campaign to capture him back then. The immortal realm was thrown into chaos, and everyone lived in fear. Thankfully, her eldest disciple, Bai Nianxuan, stepped forward and turned the tide, barely managing to steady the situation.

Shangguan Ling's primordial spirit was scattered, and her reputation was ruined. By chance, a few lingering fragments of her soul possessed a dying white rabbit. From then on, she hid her identity and started a little business of her own.

Until one day, a shadow descended, its murderous aura filling the sky. Zhuo Zhan appeared in her teahouse and said coolly, "So this is where you've been."

Shangguan Ling forced herself to stay calm. "You've mistaken me for someone else, haven't you?"

Zhuo Zhan sneered. "I watched you for years from my prison. I'd recognize you even if you were reduced to ashes."
