Transmigrated to the Cold Palace to Raise Men

After he died, You Zhen transmigrated as the emperor's male concubine, only to be sent to the Cold Palace before the emperor could even summon him. Fortunately, an abandoned hunting ground lay just beyond the Cold Palace. As he led the consorts there in their efforts to win the emperor over again, You Zhen also reclaimed the land and farmed to feed themselves. There were two male concubines in the Cold Palace. Besides You Zhen, there was a frail, sickly beauty who coughed every few steps and spent all day in bed. You Zhen even had to feed him his medicine himself. Poor thing! You Zhen worried himself sick over the concubine, using all the old hens he'd raised to make nourishing soup for him. He hoped the man would recover, so the two of them could escape the palace and roam the world with their swords. Then one day, the male concubine You Zhen had worked so hard to fatten disappeared. When You Zhen saw him again, he had just ascended the throne as the new emperor. The new emperor arrived with a grand bridal procession. "I have come to repay you for all those years of chicken soup." You Zhen: "Leave the money. Can I skip becoming empress?"
