1. Science fiction and fantasy with a plot-focused story. The blurb only describes the romance to make it more dramatic. The top is the main focus early on, and he's not an overpowered wish-fulfillment character.

2. This story is loooooong! Slow burn! The worldbuilding unfolds gradually, and technological progress follows the main plot. The romance develops slowly, dramatically, and at length! Gu Qing is from ancient times, and Wei Lan is from the modern era. Half a volume of setup comes before they meet. The parts described in the blurb don't appear until the end of Volume Two and the beginning of Volume Three, so please be patient!

3. There are four main characters, multiple storylines and perspectives, and two couples, one of them a gay male couple. The romantic couple can also be read as a male couple.

4. Immortality, multiple people transmigrating, and repeated transmigration. This is not quick transmigration.

5. I won't abandon this story or leave it unfinished. Read with confidence.

Some readers say they can't follow the story, so here's an outline:

Volume One, Base: Gu Qing transmigrates to the modern era and adjusts to modern life, only to be deceived by the super hacker Wei Lan. In the darkest part of the base, he realizes the misery of being an experimental subject.

Volume Two, Yin Cang: Gu Qing jumps forward ten years and comes face to face with Wei Lan at the peak of his power. Wei Lan obtains magical knowledge and spiritual power left behind by the ancient Western Continent civilization, intending to help the pitiful experimental subjects, but ends up committing a grave mistake under the control of the ancient Westerners.

Volume Three, Alliance: Gu Qing jumps forward twenty years into the era of interstellar exploration and encounters various ability-user organizations alongside Wei Lan, who suffers from a strange illness. To uncover the truth about Wei Lan's illness, they enter the Second Star System, only to discover it has long since fallen and the Alliance can no longer accept Wei Lan's existence.

Volume Four, Second Star System: Gu and Wei travel to the Second Star System thirty years in the future with a group of rebels who refuse to have chips implanted. They expose the sinister deal between the ruler of the Second Star System and a higher-dimensional civilization.

Volume Five, Underground City: The sinister plan of a higher-dimensional civilization, the underground city on Hepa Star turned into a human mine, the "Evolution System" responsible for endless chaos, and the different choices made by Gu and Wei.

Volume Six, Earth: Wei Lan returns to Earth, wavering between joining the System and betraying it, and between taking revenge on his former persecutors and making an alliance with them. He also faces the most powerful enemies of the age: the "Society of Worldly Entry" and Alliance Major General Li Wei.

Epilogue, Eastward Across the Galaxy: Wei Lan returns to the Fifth Star System, formerly the Second Star System, and Gu and Wei face off at the height of their powers.

This story is quite long, and the protagonists come to understand the world one step at a time. The blurb is about the romance, but the whole story isn't focused on romance, even though it's important. That is especially true of Volume One, when the protagonist has just transmigrated. This part covers his life in the modern world, introduces the miserable fate of the experimental subjects, and shows the two leads' initial spiritual connection. He meets different people and might even develop feelings for the wrong ones. That's a normal human response, after all. How many people never fall for anyone until they meet their true love? Besides, if someone has never fallen for the "wrong person," how can they know they've met the right one? It's the contrast with what's "wrong" that lets you understand how precious what's "right" is.
