The Ex-Boyfriend I Gained After Losing My Memory

He grew up in the mountains, relying on each other for survival with an old con man of mysterious origins and a secretive past. At eighteen, Ye Sheng set off for college with the items the old man had given him. But on the train to school, he got caught up in a supernatural incident and met a lunatic. He thought it would all be over when the train reached its destination. He had no idea this was only the beginning of his story. * His birth mother came looking for him again so she could marry him off to a local tycoon as a good-luck charm. Once he arrived at the wealthy household, he had to deal with a hypocritical mother, a mean younger brother, a wicked older brother, and scheming servants. The trouble never let up. At a banquet, everyone waited to see him make a fool of himself. But when the lights dimmed, an elegant, noble young man descended the spiral staircase. The mysterious and dangerous heir to the Ning family, someone even the Qin family couldn't afford to offend, approached him. His peach-blossom eyes curved as he leaned down with a smile and said, “Long time no see, my ex-boyfriend.” Ye Sheng looked up, his face full of question marks. Isn't this the lunatic from the train? So I had a boyfriend before I was five? Content warnings: 1. An urban supernatural story. The opening arc deals with the first human boss, the “Master Storyteller,” so the early chapters include a whole lot of over-the-top, face-slapping melodrama involving school and wealthy families. It's extremely melodramatic. Later, once the world opens up, the story shifts to dungeon arcs, where the leads fight A+ and S-rank anomalies in dangerous zones across different sectors. There are also lots of scenes where supporting characters are made stupid just so they can get face-slapped. A lot. This is not a power fantasy. 2. The characters are a “homophobic” cool-guy bottom and a crazy “movie star” top. The blurb is only a tiny, tiny part of the story, and the events in it are wrapped up by chapter 17. Both the top and bottom are pretty crazy. The bottom likes hypnotizing himself into thinking he's a good person, while the top is an award-worthy actor whose public and private faces are completely different. Please don't project yourself onto any events or characters. Also, I wrote this because I wanted to write about the two of them falling in love. If you don't like either character, feel free to close the book. Thank you. 3. This is an unconventional story about past and present lives. The dungeon arcs are chuunibyou as hell, and the author is tacky. Both leads are invincible show-offs. If you don't like the blurb or opening, there's really no need to force yourself to keep reading. I'm very grateful to readers who recommend my work, but I don't think my writing has improved. So, my dears, don't force yourselves to read. If it hits a sore spot, drop it. Maybe we'll meet again in my next book. Let me stress this again: if you don't like the early chapters, you really don't need to force yourself through them. It might simply not be for you: the characters, style, or plot.
