A Love That Defies the Jianghu

This is the jianghu, this is the realm, this is the world of officialdom...

A father and son who are nothing like father and son. Haunted by a past too painful to revisit, he abuses his son in every way. Longing for familial affection, the son continues to respect and love him as before...

“I'd rather not have you for a son!” His words broke his son's heart.

“In our next life, let's truly be father and son, with a loving father and a filial son!!” But this is all they can be in this life. What else can they do?

And those who love each other are unable to be together. Even if they are willing to give up everything, they cannot escape the hand of fate. Their family, their country, the whole realm, and the burdens of duty: the scales in their hearts become the greatest obstacle between them...

“For my sake, try to learn to betray them. I beg you...”

“No. This is my mission, and our destiny. Go. The next time we meet, we will be enemies...”

The realm is divided in two, and war rages. There is turmoil beyond the borders and scheming within. They are both still young, yet each must hold up the sky. Suspicion, misunderstandings, family laws, military regulations: perhaps the burden is too heavy, but they choose to bear it, choosing to seal their vows with their own blood...
