He was reserved and quiet, and rarely said “I love you.” But some kinds of love don't need to be spoken. They have already seeped into your bones, like tea or wine, growing richer with every taste.

Funny version: Many years later, Rukawa Kaede has become a globally acclaimed basketball superstar. During an interview he is forced to attend, the host asks, “What's the best thing you've ever done in your life?”

Rukawa Kaede: “Married my wife.”

Host: “And the worst thing?”

Rukawa Kaede thinks for a moment, frowning as he replies, “Giving in to her pleas and having a few very annoying brats.”

The “very annoying brats,” watching from in front of the TV, immediately start talking over one another as they complain to their mother. “Mom, Dad's definitely jealous of us. Yesterday you spent time with us instead of him.”

“Mom, Dad definitely wants to kick us out. I know it.”

“Mom, if you had to choose between Dad and us, who would you pick?”

Yun Shu looks at the brats below, their eyes sparkling, and struggles to answer. “...Probably, maybe, possibly, definitely your dad...”
