New historical ABO novel, Backyard on Fire, now open for preorders. A lighthearted plot, with Chapter One already up.
Blurb for the new novel
In Guanglu Ward, where noble dukes and marquises abound, the Earl of Linying stands out from the crowd, so poor that people weep just hearing about it and despair when they see it.
They say the estate can't afford to keep horses, so Cui Yun, the dignified Earl of Linying, has to ride a donkey whenever she goes out.
They say the estate can't afford a seamstress, so the earl has to thread her own needles and sew her own clothes.
They say the powerful Princess of Jiguo once had a heart-fluttering affair with the Earl of Linying, but their relationship eventually ended because of one word: poverty.
There is too much petty nonsense in the capital, so Cui Yun requests a post outside the city, determined to make a name for herself. But one dark and stormy night, she rescues a fabulously wealthy merchant woman, and everything changes.
The merchant woman takes Cui Yun to see her vast estates, her warehouses full of silk, and her gold, silver, and jewels.
After enduring a dizzying barrage of displays, Cui Yun returns to the capital to report on her work, only for the merchant woman to doggedly follow her there.
Cui Yun: What else do you want me to see?
Merchant woman: This time, I'll be the one looking at you.
The aristocratic clans sneer: You reject a noble lady from a prestigious family, yet insist on marrying a merchant woman after divorcing?
Merchant woman: I have neither a name nor noble status. I only have money.
About this novel:
A quick content warning before you read: Volume Four is a side story about the protagonists' youth. Before the two leads get together, one of them has a brief period of simply liking men, but there is no direct contact. Please avoid this if you are uncomfortable with that.
This is a story about love hidden in the fading light.
The murder case of the second year of Yuanxing shatters the seemingly peaceful, carefree life of Pu Ruofei, the heir to the Marquis of Huaiyin. The marquis's overwhelming power is gradually stripped away, layer by layer, along with its former glory.
Amid the treacherous affairs of state, Pu Ruofei cannot stand apart from the turmoil. Yet through the rising tides of change, she remains true to the vow buried deep in her heart.
Important: The protagonist is not perfect. She has a full range of emotions and desires, and can be selfish. She has no golden finger or dazzling aura.
The writing is amateurish, so enter at your own risk. Please don't leave harsh criticism, or this fragile heart will break, and the author might... cry?
Mom says it's immoral to let the heir set fires in the name of love while forbidding the emperor from even lighting a lamp.
This novel will go VIP on March 27. Three chapters will be released that day, along with a few red envelopes. Thank you all for your continued support.
Writing is hard work, so the author has set up content protection for this novel.
Theme:
After chasing it for a few days, I finally finished it. After reading GL articles for more than ten years, there are very few articles that attract me to the middle of the night and I can't put it down. This article just attracts me to keep reading. The plot is compact, the characters have their own personalities, and the suspense and reversal are well designed. It's a bit of a group picture. I actually didn't like the main characters that much at the end. I felt that they, especially the daughter-in-law, were really cold-hearted and cold-blooded. Some of the supporting characters were hot-blooded and willful. The ending of the supporting characters was quite sad. I feel that jj has limited the author's performance. In some places, it would be more fulfilling if the entanglement of love and yu between them is detailed in some places (not just between the protagonists).
Enjoyable and enjoyable. I feel like every time we want to watch sweet love, it is skipped right away. For example, after revealing her true feelings at the end, she jumped to the point where she could even write, ah ah ah
I still felt a little unhappy after watching it again. In the end, I was told that everything was destined. The prophet at the beginning had already spoiled it, and the fantasy atmosphere of curses and stuff was too strong. Why can't we write about sweet love with such a good character?
In fact, Your Majesty and Ming are a bit like Zhao Min and Zhou Zhiruo
I still like to see His Majesty being awkward hahahahahaha
Are the two princesses destined to be together? I think we should be grateful to Bohai Beeswax and the curse. If it weren't for the energy that is different from ordinary people, Your Majesty may not have been able to grow up safely (after all, the Queen Mother gave birth to several children, and only Your Majesty survived), and she may not have been favored by the late Emperor to become a princess. But Pu Ruofei is still Pu Ruofei, and ordinary princesses should not be able to compete with Xiang Mei.
The biggest reason why the eldest son cannot inherit the throne is probably because she is not the legitimate eldest daughter in terms of etiquette. Which concubine is she named under? The second child should be born after the wedding, so it is justifiable.
Yes, fortunately it was not included in the title of the book... Looking forward to the author's new work
The anti-theft really prevented me.
It shouldn't be so popular because it's so good. I feel like I was delayed by the title??♀?
