The Princess Consort Has Had Enough

My new novel, Reborn into a Poor Family as a Noble Wife (Double Rebirth), is now open for readers. Visit my author page to add it to your collection!

For five years after marrying into the Prince of Wei's household, the prince remained stationed beyond the frontier, and the couple spent little time together.

As the Princess of Wei, Yao Pinxian had to manage the household and attend to the powerful and influential outside it. Burdened by endless daily chores for her husband, she was mentally and physically exhausted, and far from happy.

Then one day, Yao Pinxian was told that she was actually the tragic supporting female character in a Mary Sue novel about a woman adored by everyone. No matter how beautiful and talented she was, she was doomed to a miserable fate, forever overshadowed by the heroine.

The heroine of the book was none other than her elder sister, Yao Pinyan, a woman who combined the traits of a delicate white lotus and a scheming green tea girl.

Once she came to her senses, Yao Pinxian suddenly saw things clearly. To hell with that bastard of a husband. Let him die!

The bastard prince: ?

*

Five years ago, her elder sister, Yao Pinyan, found the current Prince of Wei too ruthless and not gentle or considerate enough, so she fled on the eve of their wedding. With no other choice, the Yao family had Yao Pinxian take her place in the marriage.

Five years later, the Prince of Wei returned to the capital in triumph. At the same time, the elder sister who had fled the wedding came back in a sorry state...

All the noblewomen in the capital were waiting to see Yao Pinxian make a fool of herself, but she grew more radiant by the day and lived ever more freely. She treated all the social obligations inside and outside the household carelessly and casually, and no longer put her husband first in everything as she had before.

As time passed, even the Prince of Wei couldn't help wondering: Does she not care about me?

P.S. 1. The male lead and the elder sister have nothing going on. At first, he's a work-focused, emotionally clueless straight man.

2. The heroine has a massive golden finger. This isn't a story about someone who grew up entirely in this world; everything ultimately serves the plot and romance.

3. I'm a reliable author. Updates will be steady before the story goes premium, and frequent afterward.

Theme: Look at problems from a different angle, and life will get better and better!
