Once Upon a Time, There Was a Powder House

Fu Chaozong first met Ding Ning in the courtroom.

Her husband's family had been wiped out, and she herself was badly injured and had lost all her memories. Suspected of the crime, she was repeatedly brought in for questioning.

A widow who everyone pointed fingers at, with a blind four-year-old boy to care for. It seemed impossible to make a life of it.

He saw her again a year later.

She had opened a cosmetics shop, made a name for herself, and was raking in money every day. The women she associated with were all from official or wealthy families.

He couldn't forget her, because there was a mystery about her he couldn't solve.

She had long since forgotten him. She didn't even notice when he slipped into her shop as a guard.

But with her there, peace became impossible to find.

An endless stream of people appeared around this mysterious woman, enough to dazzle the eye.

Tentatively planned as an episodic story, though this may change once it begins.

A few notes:

1. The female lead's son is not her biological child.

2. The female lead isn't meant to be kindhearted, but that doesn't stop her from becoming a reasonably good person in the end.
