The morning glory, beautiful but scentless, blooms at dawn and withers beneath the blazing sun.

Its life is short, making it an ill omen.

In the Nine Provinces Beyond the Border, no one gives morning glory as a token of love. Assassins, on the other hand, like to use it as a down payment when they buy someone's life.

Yet one day, in a tiny, inconspicuous brothel in the ancient city of Guzhou,

a penniless beggar woman whose disguise had been exposed kicked down the door, carrying a huge bouquet of morning glories to give to the ugliest girl in the place, whose temper was the worst and who fancied herself a beauty like Xi Shi.

Onlooker A: Huh~ They must have one heck of a grudge!

Onlooker B: Why curse each other? The poor shouldn't make life harder for the poor.

Onlooker C: Is this about a love debt? Are the beggar woman and that madwoman rivals in love?

That night, between the sheets.

The ugly girl finally pinned the beggar down and yanked at her sash.
