The Harem Intrigue Team Is Slacking Off

At first

Mi Xuan, offered up as a princess of a fallen kingdom: "I'm a woman without feelings. I'm going to turn the entire State of Jin upside down. I am the infamous concubine who brings a kingdom to ruin, Mi Xuan!"

The empress and a crowd of consorts: "Mahjong? We're one player short."

The ministers of Jin: "Hurry up and make His Majesty spend all his time in the harem! We beg you!"

Mi Xuan: This isn't how the script is supposed to go! Damn State of Jin, are you doomed or what?

Later

His Majesty: "I heard your ambition is to seduce me into neglecting court forever. So why haven't you made a move?"

Mi Xuan: "Your Majesty, you need to exercise some restraint! Go to court already!"

A more literary blurb:

When Mi Xuan was little, a street fortune-teller took one look at her and shook his head, saying she was a harbinger of disaster.

Mi Xuan didn't believe in fate.

Then her family was destroyed, and after she died, she was reborn as a princess. Her kingdom fell, too, and she became a captive offered to the emperor of Jin.

Mi Xuan believed it now. She really was a harbinger of disaster, and now she was going to bring disaster upon the emperor of Jin.

A few warnings: The male and female leads have no blood feud over a fallen kingdom. This is a very sweet, very silly story about an unusual life in the harem. No melodrama, no clichés, just cheerful everyday fun. Enjoy~
