A Publicly Funded Romance at the Distillery with My Theatrical Boss

(Originally titled "I'm Done Being a Mole." Blurb revised on 2021.12.18, chapters will be revised over the next couple of days.) I had a first love. He had dark skin, a beautiful face, and a tempting waistline, but on the three-month anniversary of our relationship, he not only stood me up but also vanished without a trace. So I ended that painful first love with a breakup text. Later, I unexpectedly found true love in the organization I'd infiltrated. The other person was a key figure in the organization and my direct superior, with an impressively high-status codename. He had fair skin, a beautiful face, tempting abs, and he pursued me passionately. It seemed pretty great. When we worked together, I could slack off, occasionally invite his "bestie" to a fancy club for a meal on the organization's tab, and sometimes attend lavish banquets hosted by business tycoons. I could also fish for information about the organization from him. I was tempted. I was even starting to think about how to turn him before the job was done. Then one day, he took off the mask he was wearing, revealing the dark-skinned face of my ex-boyfriend. He told me he'd been undercover for an organization mission, disguised the whole time. Me: "…" Question: What should you do when you discover that your long-missing ex-boyfriend has actually been doing shady, underhanded work behind your back? It's urgent! Waiting for an answer online. Friend: Treasure your life. Stay away from scumbags. A few months later... Me: Sorry, I really can't help falling for him. [Turns out he's been playing both sides] [Help! He's so damn sexy when he plays the villain!] * Doesn't follow the original's timeline. I'm doing whatever I want, as long as it's fun. * There are probably some original additions.
