Simply put, this story gives Sakura more of a role. You could also say it's about a new Sakura accompanying the boys as they grow up, while growing stronger herself along the way.
I personally like capable heroines, so Sakura's abilities will change.
The original plan was for Naruto to be the male lead, but it's been so long that I can't quite recapture how I felt back then, so that may change. The male lead will most likely be someone from Team Seven.

1. The general plot follows the original. Since the protagonist is Haruno Sakura and her abilities grow over time, there will be a lot of scenes from the original, especially early on. However, things will change, particularly in the later Shippuden portion.
2. Sakura will probably become very powerful later on. If you're worried that her strength will make her a Mary Sue, this may not be for you.
3. I'm not a canon purist. I haven't read the original manga, only watched the anime, and I haven't watched it especially carefully because it has so many original storylines. Some details may be inaccurate, so this may not suit readers who pay close attention to canon details.
