The Entire Empire Ships My Couple

Fang Zhibai and Huo Buyan are the co-top students at the Imperial Military Academy. They are the first pair of co-top students in the history of the mecha department, and are hailed as the Twin Stars of the Empire.

They are famous not only for their mecha combat skills, but also for the Empire-wide CP fanbase everyone knows about.

During a live mecha simulation competition:

Fang Zhibai pats Huo Buyan on the shoulder.

Comments across the internet: Aaaah! Zhi Zhi isn't patting his shoulder, he's touching Huo Buyan's heart!

Huo Buyan checks the wound on Fang Zhibai's leg.

Comments across the internet: Ohhh, he touched his leg! He touched his leg!

Fang Zhibai and Huo Buyan rest inside a mecha cockpit.

Comments across the internet: Switch the livestream camera over there! I have money to spare, I want to see the paid content!

Watching the word "marriage" fill the comments, the two Alphas look at each other in confusion.

Fang Zhibai asks, "You're into AO relationships, right?"

Huo Buyan: "...Yes."

Reassured by the answer, Fang Zhibai, injured in battle, leans comfortably against Huo Buyan's chest.

He doesn't notice the painfully awkward look in Huo Buyan's eyes after he answers.

Fang Zhibai grew up with an elite education. He is strict with himself, restrained, and always observes proper etiquette.

Though he has never been close to anyone, he unexpectedly becomes best friends with Huo Buyan.

One day, he stumbles into the CP forum dedicated to him and Huo Buyan.

From then on, Fang Zhibai starts feeling that something is off about everything.

But they are both Alphas. Even if they're a little too intimate, it should just be normal interaction between good friends, right?

Later, when Fang Zhibai goes on a blind date with an Omega, Huo Buyan takes him away from the scene with a cold expression.

Only when he sees the frightening possessiveness in the other man's eyes does Fang Zhibai finally realize:

To hell with AO relationships. It was all a lie!
