The Cheerful, Sunny Demon King [Reborn]

Before he was reborn, Su Xun could smash a ghost's head with his left fist and break its leg with his right. Then, after turning around to comfort the victim, he could still smile as he twisted a real ghost into a pretzel.

--Then he'd lie there for three days recovering, needing someone to look after him, weak at every step.

After he was reborn, Su Xun would scan for vengeful ghosts as soon as he arrived to rescue someone, raising his hand to stuff one into a glass bottle. But as he searched, he heard:

"Help!"

When professional rescuers arrived in front of the pale-faced victims, Su Xun quietly lowered his hand and slipped behind his upperclassman amid the chaos, trembling. "Waaah, this place is so creepy! Why is it so spooky? I'm so scared! Please save us!"

--He skipped straight to the final step and slowly collapsed on the spot.

Gu Xichen: You leap around, catch ghosts with one hand, and have kept every ghost within three feet of you at bay since you were a child. But do you know you're just an ordinary victim...?

Su Xun, currently whimpering: Oh, busted. My true nature's been exposed.

"It's not me, I didn't do it, I'm innocent, I'm very fragile..."

A rough-around-the-edges Demon King uke who thinks he's handsome and kind but actually scares children (and ghosts) to tears x a gentle seme, reborn and licensed for the job, who witnesses brutal scenes almost every time and handles the aftermath

[When people ask you for help, sometimes you realize the world can be dangerous too]
