Born in the prehistoric era, Zhu Ze was a branch of the Pure Bamboo, gifted with the power to record all things and events and protected by the Heavenly Dao. He became a disciple of Master Tongtian. Yet beneath the Heavenly Dao, all were mere ants. The Heavenly Dao decreed that humanity would rise, and the Jie Sect would fall. But the Jie Sect's doctrine was to seize that one glimmer of life. Zhu Ze was that glimmer. Charged with the task of reviving the Jie Sect, he traveled to a whole new world.
Prehistoric Arc:
The little phoenix nuzzled him insistently, shaking his head. “Little Bamboo, when will you grow up and bear bamboo seeds for me to eat?”
Zhu Ze blushed and spat at him. “Bah! You shameless bird! If you keep talking nonsense, I'll tell Master and have him teach you a lesson. Hmph!”
“Ah?!” Little Fengyun felt terribly wronged. Everyone knew that a phoenix would not settle except in a parasol tree, would eat nothing but bamboo seeds, and would drink only sweet spring water. Why was he being called a shameless bird? He wasn't one of those lustful dragons.
The timeline is roughly as follows: the Jie Sect is founded, then the treasures are distributed at the Treasure-Splitting Cliff, followed by the Dragon and Phoenix Tribulation, the War Between the Wu and Yao, and the Investiture of the Gods. That brings the prehistoric timeline to a close.
Only then will Zhu Ze travel to another world to search for a glimmer of hope for the Jie Sect.
