It starts with love at first sight, then grows into love over time (not in that sense, don't be heartless, the top is in poor health, so keep things a little chaste). Their everyday life is all about you teasing me and me flirting with you, along with ordinary domestic routines, the pangs of long-distance love, and an ex-boyfriend making a guest appearance. None of it is a big deal. There's no angst, and it has a happy ending.
I'll try to avoid melodrama. If anything gets ridiculous, just pretend you didn't see it.
This novel isn't based on real people. Please don't project anyone onto the characters.
A few bits of personal interest have been worked into the characters, including a tiny bit of traditional opera (Suzhou Pingtan and Peking opera) and crosstalk (some of the banter from the two gentlemen, Meng and Zhou).
