Dodder Flower

Original title: The Evil Spirits Were Supposed to Fall for Me

Tang Xi was famous in Kyoto's high society as a delicate, dependent flower.

She was frail and beautiful, with a slender frame that seemed ready to topple at the slightest breeze. It seemed she could only avoid withering away by clinging to Lan Ye, the eldest daughter of the Lan family.

That was what everyone believed.

Until Tang Xi joined forces with a collateral branch of the Lan family to drive Lan Ye to her death, then transformed herself into the Lan family's new head.

Only then did everyone realize that Tang Xi was no delicate flower.

She was a man-eating plant that devoured its victims whole. Beautiful, yes, but also terribly dangerous.

Tang Xi thought everything would be over once she became head of the Lan family.

She had no idea that this was only the beginning of her ill-fated relationship with Lan Ye.

Three years after Lan Ye died, she returned as a vengeful ghost and dragged Tang Xi into a horror game designed to bring out the worst in human nature.

Before pulling Tang Xi into the horror game, Lan Ye thought:

Become the most vicious, evil ghost imaginable, and make Tang Xi cry, suffer, and beg for mercy.

After pulling Tang Xi into the horror game, Lan Ye did this:

Become the most insatiable temptress imaginable, and make Tang Xi cry, suffer, and beg for mercy.

...Well, the result was the same either way. The details were just a minor matter.
