Ning Fu first met Shi Huaizhi at a company banquet.
The man stood by the window, the top button of his shirt undone. He looked over at her, his gaze unfathomable. In that instant, all she could think of was a mountain peak covered in pristine white snow.
Entrancing, yet exceptionally dangerous.
With the alcohol going to her head, she boldly walked up to him.
When she sobered up, Ning Fu looked at the person lying beside her and remembered the reckless events of the previous night. She packed her things and fled in the middle of the night.
After returning home, Ning Fu discovered that her family had made peace with her archenemy's clan. They even planned to seal their sincerity with a marriage alliance.
Ning Fu cut them off, entirely justified: "Our country's Civil Code prohibits arranged marriages, marriage by purchase, and any other act that interferes with the freedom to marry, so..."
She looked up and saw Shi Huaizhi sitting there, watching her with an amused, unreadable expression. "Miss Ning, your legal knowledge is impressive. Could you tell me the definition of fraud under Article 266 of the Criminal Law?"
Ning Fu stumbled over her words. "So I... I think I can still be saved."

Shi Huaizhi, the newly appointed CEO of the MAE Group, is handsome and cold. He is demanding at work and mercilessly impersonal, a lofty flower on a mountain peak who is impossible to approach.
Ning Fu is an obscure nobody in the translation department, seemingly with no connection to him at all.
Until one day, over a proposal, Ning Fu clashes with him at a department meeting, neither willing to yield.
Shi Huaizhi sits at the head of the table, his expressionless face and cold, distant eyes fixed on her. "If you have a problem with me, you can come say it to my face in my office after the meeting."
Everyone else breaks into a cold sweat for Ning Fu, certain that she's done for.
But after the meeting, they all see their young CEO, normally a ruthless, unfeeling master of the business world, walk up to Ning Fu and ask as if nothing is amiss, "Did you happen to see my blue tie when you left this morning?"

The office's floor-to-ceiling curtains are drawn. The light is dim and hazy with tension.
"Still mad at me?" The man bends over her, pinning her against the edge of the desk. His voice is low and magnetic. "Mrs. Shi?"

[New novel: Thorn-Rose Sparrow (Marriage First, Love Later)]
After their wedding, Ming Fei and Song Wenyu maintain the appearance of a loving couple in public. In private, they keep to themselves and stay out of each other's way.
Until one night, after drinking, they unexpectedly take things further.
The next morning
Ming Fei declares righteously, "Last night was an accident. I absolutely have no improper thoughts about you."
Just then, a delivery rider knocks. "Excuse me, are you Song Wenyu's sweetheart? Your food delivery is here."
"..."
Ming Fei's brain freezes for three seconds. She slowly turns to Song Wenyu. "If I tell you I didn't change the name, will you believe me?"
Song Wenyu's lips curl into an almost-smile. "Mm, I believe you."
Radiant heiress x scheming, deep-thinking CEO

Fu Jinghang, a laid-back, easygoing instructor at a maritime rescue center, is always impassive around Shen Xingwan, the newly transferred marine conservation specialist. She's the only one who gets that treatment.
His teammates have speculated in private time and again, but never figured out why.
During a team-building trip at sea, everyone unexpectedly learns that the two graduated from the same school.
A teammate teases them. "Well, look at that, you're schoolmates! Have you met before?"
Shen Xingwan remains calm. "I don't really remember him."
Fu Jinghang leans against the rail. Moonlight falls across his rugged features in alternating bands of light and shadow, and his gaze is deep and unreadable.
After the team-building trip, in the cramped space at the stern, Fu Jinghang corners Shen Xingwan against the cabin wall, his expression almost amused. "You don't really remember me?"
His voice carries the salty tang of the sea breeze, with a domineering edge that brooks no refusal. "Dare to look me in the eye and say that again?"

The college entrance exams are over. Their teachers' appreciation banquet is loud with laughter, soda bottles clinking as the merriment threatens to lift the roof.
During Truth or Dare, Fu Jinghang happens to draw a question. "Jinghang, what's the thing you hate most?"
Fu Jinghang toys with the lighter in his hand, its flame flickering on and off. His lips curl as he coolly answers, "Probably the sea."
Everyone falls silent.
They all know that the sea is what his former rumored girlfriend, who left without a word, loved most.
Many years later.
While conducting an ecological survey at sea, Shen Xingwan encounters a rare storm and becomes stranded offshore.
A rescue boat races toward her, its bow lights blazing as they cut straight through the thick darkness.
Backlit, the man, drenched from head to toe, pulls her into a life jacket. His body heat bridges seven years of separation. "Hold on tight. Don't look at the sea anymore. Look at me."
When they meet again, he is protecting the very sea she loves most.
"Let me be a beacon on the sea, guiding you home. I'll protect the ocean, and keep watch over you."

Because I read several modern books in one go (this was the last one I read), I felt that this one ended in a hurry, and it was also the one with the fewest extras. There are some plots that are not well explained. The most important thing is that the heroine won the award for her translation, but the editing and publishing company arranged for someone to pretend to be the heroine and conduct a book signing event because the heroine did not want to show off and refused the event. The ending and the extras did not explain what happened to the heroine, nor did they describe the heroine getting the justice she deserved. It was obvious that the villain female colleague was allowed to steal the heroine's award certificate before the end, but then it ended without any description of this matter, which felt like a pity.
In addition, there are too few descriptions of the relationship between the male and female protagonists. The novel ends just after the female protagonist realizes her feelings and communicates with the male protagonist. Compared with many other books, this book is sweet, but it feels a bit frivolous.
In fact, the setting, writing and plot of this book are very good, but there are still some plots that should be explained, which makes it feel rushed. It would be great if more extra stories could be written_(:3∠)_
It's the end. It feels very rushed. Why didn't you mention the autograph signing?
It looks great. Will this book be published?
Ah, why didn't I understand the autograph session?
Is there any extra? Is this the end?
It's so short. There's no follow-up to pretending to be someone else.
Looks good, I want more episodes
I won't comment on the writing style. It may be difficult to write a good novel. I can read this article because there is no embarrassment, but there are also obvious loopholes and differences. Anyway, it's okay
Why can't it be updated once a day? Why should it be updated every two or three days?
