Drowning in Fire

Though Liang Zhiyu knows Duan Yi, they aren't actually close.

The only connection between them is that her boyfriend shares a dorm with Duan Yi.

During the National Day holiday, the school's hiking club organized a mountain trek.

A sudden downpour scattered the group, leaving Liang Zhiyu no choice but to spend the night with Duan Yi in a cabin at the foot of the mountain.

As fierce winds howled outside, Liang Zhiyu shivered through a hot shower. When she opened the door, she found Duan Yi waiting outside.

He leaned lazily against the mottled wall, casually playing with a lighter. A flame sprang from the web of his thumb, burning hot in the cold night, but not as hot as his gaze.

It was intensely predatory, as if he wanted to devour her whole.

Liang Zhiyu tactfully reminded him, "I just broke up with your friend."

"So what?" He gave a scoffing laugh. "Even if you marry him someday, I can still steal you away."

Sweet on the outside, sinister within x deceptively wicked
