A game app suddenly appeared on Su Yan's phone. It was called "Save the Little Ones."
He couldn't uninstall it, and the app opened by itself. Su Yan took a look. It had a simple doodle style, with five little rectangular boxes containing a tiny octopus, a small orca, a little mermaid, two leaves, and a little skeleton.
Su Yan sighed. "The little ones I'm supposed to save aren't these weird little things, are they?"
The obnoxious app couldn't be uninstalled, so Su Yan had no choice but to raise them.
But little by little, the doodles became more realistic. The big-eyed octopus looked like a little blue jelly, the mermaid grew seaweed-like hair, and the little skeleton would sit there in a daze. When he opened the app, it would stumble over to him and stretch out its pale bone arms as if asking for a hug...
More and more little ones appeared too: a baby dragon, a little elf, a tiger cub...
Su Yan no longer hated the obnoxious app. Every day, he'd cuddle up with his phone and adore them.
Then one day, he found a jelly-like, adorable little octopus on the table in his room. He checked his phone and, sure enough, the little octopus was gone from the app.
Then the little mermaid and baby dragon appeared in his room too. They hugged him and said, "If you don't raise us, we'll cry and cry!"
Only later did Su Yan learn that not only had he secretly raised a whole group of real babies, but every one of them was a big shot.
