[Fantastic Beasts | Theseus] The Dying Swan

Theseus watched the silver Thunderbird beat its wings in the darkness. She stood not far away, her left hand still raised high, wand in hand, panting with exhaustion.

He suddenly remembered a conversation with Jerome several years ago, one that had left him unsettled for a long time.

“I used to think it would be a swan, too, but Diana’s Patronus is actually a Thunderbird.” Jerome sighed, as if it were something difficult to admit. “It’s nothing like her personality, but...”

Theseus practically forced himself to speak. “It’s the same as mine.”

“Yes, it’s the same as your Patronus, because she never stopped loving you.”

P.S.:

1. Follows the original. The male lead is Theseus, and Thesleta is mentioned extensively.

2. The secondary couple is, of course, Newtina.

3. The author has a bad track record for finishing stories, so think carefully before jumping in. (Sob, sob.)
