--A Luo, just after arriving in Pufikate
I can turn into a bat now? What good is a fist-sized one? Running away?
Hah.
Even in this perilous foreign world, I, A Luo, can still write my own rules and become powerful.
--At some point, a tiny, fluffy gray bat began following Saintess Wutanluo around.
The gray bat rolled over the book spread across the saintess's lap. Wutanluo had her eyes closed, silently reciting a divine incantation, and didn't notice a thing.
The gray bat flapped its wings and clung to the saintess's hands, clasped against her chest. Her long fingers deftly pinched the bat by the base of its wings, pulled them apart, then put the little bundle back into her coat pocket.
The gray bat poked its head out of the pocket and watched the saintess practice with complete concentration.
"Pay some attention to me! I'm super cute."
--A Luo, after leaving Pufikate
Edward, who'd wanted to get himself killed but changed his mind, and Isabella, with her incredible blocking ability, were summoned to the Volturi.
They found the three elders slumped in their chairs, all as listless as Marcus.
"Just go. Don't come to the Volturi and cause trouble when there's nothing going on."
At last, the Cullens, all paired off, were sent on their way. Another day without Wutanluo. I miss her.
