No! Don't Come Any Closer!

[Next up: the modern romance I Can Fix Your Teeth for a Pretty Penny, Family Members Get It for Free] [More or less a proper blurb] After failing for the first time in his life, Yan Beining, a cold-blooded, ruthless assassin, fell into deep thought. - Just before passing out, he gazed up at the pitch-black sky and muttered, "Fuck!" - The first thing he thought when he woke up and saw Bai He was: This guy is damn gorgeous! Mom, I'm in love! On the surface, Bai He was a cool and composed miracle-working doctor. After meeting Yan Beining, he often found himself deep in thought. - Is this guy's brain up in his shoulders or something? Is he an idiot? - What happened to being a ruthless assassin? Are you a damn teddy bear? Quit getting handsy! A ruthless assassin? Yeah, right. He's just an idiot drama queen. Yan Beining: So pretty. I want to sleep with him. No, I mean, date him! Bai He: Maybe you should get your brain checked first? Want to date a miracle-working doctor? Maybe get your brain checked first. [The not-so-serious blurb] Ahem, let me introduce today's guest: He is Yan Beining, the world's number-one assassin, the emperor's personal secret guard, and the top man in the royal family's private assassin organization! He spends all day slacking off and thinking about romance! (Report! He's been reported!) The emperor: Fired! Fired! Fired! Yan Beining: Xiao Bai, my surname is Yan, my given name is Bai, and my courtesy name is Beining. Bai He: ?? Yan Beining: I think there's something I need to discuss with you. Bai He: ?? Yan Beining: I want to talk to you about love. Bai He: !!! No! Don't come any closer! Key points: 1. One-on-one romance, happy ending, slice of life, in a setting where same-sex marriage is legal. The era is fictional. 2. The top is the world's number-one assassin and the royal family's personal secret guard, an idiot drama queen who spends all day slacking off and thinking about romance. The bottom is a former chief physician of the Imperial Medical Academy, a gifted doctor who resigned after the lecherous old emperor took an interest in him, and who only pretends to be cool and composed. 3. (Most important!) This is my first danmei novel, so it's purely an experiment. Don't nitpick the details. Everything is for the romance. 4. (Second most important!) This is a cheerful, silly comedy with no angst at all. Stop asking whether it's angsty. Ask again and I'll beat you to death! [Blurb screenshotted on 2019.02.19] [Weibo: @Yanshu Xing] Theme:
