[That writing is way too awful / covers face / I can't even look at it. I'm going back to the drawing board and quitting writing. I'll come back in a year and finish this, I promise! (???_??)?]
An ancient-style fictional setting
Xi is the shou, Lan is the gong √
(Lan Ting, courtesy name Yu Xi; Huo Chao, courtesy name Lan Guan)
"A spring-water peach blossom robe, and strands of dark hair that visit my dreams."
There was once a young man, smiling and cheerful, dressed in white, gentle as jade. His smile was warm and lovely, yet he was the sharpest blade of all.
There was once a young man with smiling eyes, tall and graceful. He cared for his family and was cold toward others, yet he was impossibly gentle with one person alone.
He was Lan Ting of the Lan clan of Lancheng, courtesy name Yu Xi, the city's most famous second young master. Always gentle and modest, he carried a folding fan and smiled like peach blossoms.
He was Huo Chao of the Huo clan of Huo'an, courtesy name Lan Guan, a renowned beauty known throughout Huo'an. His manner was aloof and cold, and his eyes held no warmth.
They met again at a lantern festival.
Lan Yu Xi stood by the bridge in a ruqun, staring at him in a daze.
He stood by the river, holding up a flower lantern. Its light shone on his face, bringing out its warmth and tenderness.
Perhaps... it would be a shame to part here.
This is a fictional setting, and everything is made up. None of the characters are based on real people.
This is my first time writing a story, so I'm nervous, nervous, nervous, nervous! The style may vary from time to time. Read at your own risk! Please be gentle.
There are two authors! Shen Ruqi and I are writing this together! We're students, so updates will be irregular.
Stop talking. Let me raise my hand first.
