Almost a Heartbeat

Leave request: I'm sorry, and I want to apologize to everyone first. I've been too busy lately and stretched too thin to find the time, and I don't want to churn out careless work. I've been posting late at night, but even after revising over and over, I can barely write two or three hundred words an hour. What I write just doesn't feel right, and it's awful, so I want to take a break for a while. If you trust me, you can wait for me; there's no need to remove the story from your library. My previous novels have all been completed, so you can count on me. I'm really exhausted right now. I'm sorry, and I hope you understand.

Shen Shixuan is the school bully at No. 3 Middle School. He smokes, drinks, and gets into fights, and he's so unruly and arrogant that no one dares to cross him.

After the New Year, many new neighbors move into the residential compound. One is Xia Zhi, the quiet, well-behaved daughter of a junior official who works under Shen Shixuan's father.

Before long, everyone nearby knows that Shen Shixuan and Xia Zhi don't get along at all.

Shen Shixuan has repeatedly threatened, "It's either her or me."

Xia Zhi's father is a conscientious man who is careful with his words and actions. He wants nothing more than to ease the tension between the two. He has tried all sorts of things with a smile, but none of them have worked.

With no other choice, Xia Zhi's father decides to send her back to her hometown, City B, to attend high school.

But on the night before she is due to leave, Xia Zhi's father sees his daughter cornered behind the compound wall by the devil himself, Shen Shixuan, who grips her wrist tightly. "Can't you stay? You're driving me crazy..."

These two are really good at pretending in front of everyone! So here's the question: should he break them up?
