His scarlet eyes were half-lidded, his gaze fixed on the long river of time. He watched the rise and fall of the world, touching the warmth and coolness that belonged to him alone.

The white-haired nightmare stepped lightly, as if flowers bloomed beneath his feet. He took the star in his hand and held it close to his chest, his gaze warm and tender.

The oath he made to his god was engraved on the back of his hand. His palm held the god's fingertips as he knelt on one knee and offered a gentle kiss.
