Daiyu's Elder Brother Is the Late Emperor (Dream of the Red Chamber)

Emperor Yuan spent his whole life at war, plagued by injuries and illness. As he lay dying, his only regret was that he wouldn't live to see the youngest son he had raised grow up.

Who could have guessed that after his death, he would discover that he had become... the son of Lin Ruhai, the top scholar of the imperial examinations?!

Little Daiyu tugged at his sleeve and called sweetly, "Big brother~"

Emperor Yuan: Oh, she's so adorable!

[Bonus Scene]

Young Emperor: Father appeared to me in a dream.

Chancellor: May I ask what the dream was, Your Majesty? The late emperor worked diligently, campaigning in the north and south. Surely he urged Your Majesty to govern diligently and live up to his expectations.

Young Emperor (blushing): Father said... said there's a girl in the Lin family who would make a fine empress for my son.

Chancellor: ?! Tsk, what a shameless old man!

1) Set in an alternate world.

2) A wish-fulfillment novel with lots of cathartic moments. Historical accuracy enthusiasts, please don't complain.
