Exquisite Treasures

Ye Muchen stood below the steps, gazing up at the person on the jade stairs, his eyes both fierce and tender.

Nan Guanghe frowned in displeasure. "Lingguang, you've pursued me for ninety-seven thousand years. What is it you want?"

Ye Muchen's voice was hoarse. "...Joy."

Born a god,

with no desires or wants.

How fortunate I was to meet you.

Only then could this endless life

shine with the brilliance of a blazing fire.

A few notes:

1. The setting is a fictional little world called Linlang. The story takes place during the Age of Fallen Gods, when the old gods fall and new gods are born.

2. The phoenix is an immortal bird from another world, different from the phoenix of Eastern legends.

3. Many of the stories in my collection are based on the original setting of this book. Each one is independent and can be read on its own. Thanks for leaving a like!

Theme: After enduring countless tribulations, that which does not perish is divine.
