Becoming the Number One of the Immortal Sect Starts with Sign-In

Liang Lu was eighteen when she discovered that this world was actually a male-oriented novel about an overpowered hero, and that she was merely a cannon-fodder woman who would be innocently caught in the crossfire between the male lead and his enemies.

Just as she was losing all hope, a ding suddenly rang in her ear:

"Congratulations, Host! You have activated the Phoenix Protagonist Sign-In System!"

Liang Lu: ?

She tentatively tapped the sign-in button, and a pile of pills she'd never seen before appeared in her palm.

"Sign-in successful! You received one Superior Essence-Nourishing Pill!"

With guidance from the sign-in System, Liang Lu found an ancient sword.

After she acknowledged it as her master with a drop of blood, the ancient sword transformed into a graceful sword spirit.

The sword spirit was proud and aloof. Whenever Liang Lu needed something from her, she would look at her with disdain and coldly say, "Utterly foolish!"

Later, with only one step left before ascending, Liang Lu decided to set the sword spirit free.

A hint of struggle appeared in the sword spirit's usually calm eyes.

"Can't I stay?" she asked softly. "Actually, being a sword spirit isn't so bad."
