As an employee of the Underworld, Tang Yuan's job has a few distinctive features:
1. It's extremely dangerous.
2. The quotas are extremely high.
3. If you fail to meet them, your bonus gets slashed brutally.
4. That precious superior who was parachuted in from the Celestial Palace keeps an especially close eye on her!
Low-level grunt Tang Yuan struggles to make ends meet.
The immortals, who had enjoyed a long stretch of peace and quiet, suddenly heard some astonishing news: the peacock ancestor who had served the Queen Mother for ten thousand years without ever displaying his tail had spread his feathers for a little female ghost from the Underworld!
Queen Mother: That's the cabbage I raised with all my love and care!
Proud, vain, and stubborn old peacock who says one thing and means another x hardworking junior employee who respects her elders and superiors
One-on-one, happy ending
A little scene: The proud peacock is about to fall hard
Xun Guang takes Tang Yuan out to investigate a case. They accidentally spot a man and a woman... beneath the moonlight.
Old-fashioned Xun Guang blushes and turns away. "Hmph! Disgusting!"
Tang Yuan: ??? Are you serious? They only kissed. What's disgusting about that?
Later, he eats his words!
