Also known as "A Bowl of Dog Blood," this is the bloody love story of the young heir to Prince An's estate, who decides to roam the martial world after a family heirloom is stolen, only to catch the eye of both the Demon Cult leader and the Martial Alliance leader. (Something must have gone wrong when I opened this.)
Lou Wu is a sweet-and-sour sesame rice ball with a dark side, adopted son of Prince An, who wants to roam the martial world for fame, not out of any chivalrous spirit. When the Demon Cult steals his treasured saber, Moon Return, he ends up at odds with them.
Gu Hanyi, leader of the Demon Cult, has the upper hand because he can easily see through Lou Wu's dark nature. His martial arts are peerless, he's domineering, and unfortunately, he's blind. (Actually blind, not figuratively or as an exaggeration.)
Cen Qixue, leader of the Martial Alliance, is gentle, but unfortunately truly blind: he thinks the male lead is a sweet, innocent fool. His protective instincts awaken, and while protecting Lou Wu over and over, he genuinely falls for him.
In short, this is a new story. Let's see how Lou Wu gets more and more overwhelmed as he hones his skills in the martial world.
Warning: The pairing isn't set. I have no chapters in reserve, and the plot will develop as it may. Updates may be daily.
Here's the serious introduction:
The Map of the World is said to grant whoever obtains it anything their heart desires. It disappeared long ago, but now its reappearance, at the cost of a hundred lives, has sent shockwaves through the martial world.
Lou Wu, heir to Prince An's estate and an adopted son with royal blood, enters the martial world to put an end to the chaos caused by the Map of the World. He never expected to get caught up in it himself. First he meets the leader of the Martial Alliance, then the leader of the Demon Cult. With black and white locked in a game of wits, who is the real pawn? One look sparks desire, a second brings devotion. The Martial Alliance leader falls for Lou Wu, but Lou Wu likes the Demon Cult leader. The obstacles of their opposing identities and Lou Wu's scheming nature ultimately stand in their way.
The serious part is where the angst begins.
