He Looks Delicious [Apocalypse]

[Note: Revised on August 20, 2021. This is an older story by the author, and the writing is rather amateurish. It will get a major overhaul in the future, so for now, treat it as a pre-release announcement.]

Meng Du's life began with a meeting at a theater.

His dream had once been simple: become an unassuming little celebrity who could live off welfare, doze in the sunshine by the window, and enjoy his freedom in the apocalypse.

But then Ji Xianyan came into his world, and suddenly his daily life meant making food for Ji Xianyan, keeping him company in bed, and following him around the apocalypse as they fought zombies together.

Meng Du: I don't know how things ended up like this. Don't ask me. I don't know.

Meng Du/Ji Xianyan: I think I might like him. What should I do?

Meng Du/Ji Xianyan: Do you think he likes me? If you think he does, give a shout.

Zombie: Raaah...

Meng Du/Ji Xianyan: I think so too. By the way, do you know how to date?

Zombie: Grr...

Meng Du/Ji Xianyan: I don't either. But I've fallen for him.

Zombie: Get lost, with my blessing...

Meng Du: Wait, are we talking about the same thing? Why does this feel a little weird...

Ji Xianyan: Of course.

You could describe them as:

A devoted, puppy-like top who's 2.8 meters tall but a bit dim inside x an actor who looks cool as a cucumber but actually has zero emotional intelligence

or

A not-quite-human half-zombie top x a little beast hiding beneath a human exterior

Meng Du: Don't do that. I'm fierce. I bite.

Ji Xianyan: Don't do that. I'm fierce. I eat people.
