The Shadow Catcher

My body and my heart are yours.

Even my shadow loves you.

Detailed blurb:

A heap of corpses drifts up at an ancient Yellow River ferry crossing. Hu Qi and his companions investigate and discover that each body is missing something. They initially suspect organ theft, but the organs are all intact. What's missing is their shadows! Every one of these corpses is shadowless!

There are secret arts that can strip people of their shadows and use them as servants. Have you ever heard a woman in a mural weeping? Have you seen a city come back to life in the shifting sands of the northern desert, though it should have been buried in the long river of history? Did you know the secret to immortality sought by emperors throughout history really exists?...

"I'm Ding Xiaoyou, one of the Twelve Earthly Immortals, in charge of the Year of the Rooster. This year, it's my turn to watch over the mortal realm. If you've suffered an injustice, come find me."
