A Prince's Self-Cultivation in the Qing Dynasty

Transmigrated as the utterly forgettable Twelfth Prince in the Succession Crisis Among the Nine Princes, Yin Tao decided to follow the original owner's path: quietly make a fortune and live a peaceful, lazy life. He would never compete with the Crown Prince for favor, discuss family ties with the eldest prince, talk literature with the Third Prince, gossip with the Fifth Prince, get too close to the Eighth Prince, or associate with the Fourteenth Prince. And most importantly, he must never offend Fourth Prince Yinzhen. As he quietly kept his head down, he unexpectedly became one of the most favored princes in the Forbidden City, catching the attention of a whole host of powerful figures. Kangxi: The Twelfth is perceptive and meticulous, honest and kind. He rather reminds me of myself in my youth. Crown Prince: The Twelfth understands reason, knows when to advance and retreat, conceals his sharpness without being timid, and is tactful without being worldly. In this deep palace, he's a rare person worth befriending. Fourth Prince: Twelfth Brother is far too modest. He's truly wasted his talents. If I ever inherit the throne, I will surely put him to good use. Yin Tao: But I feel like I've strayed from the plot a little. Others: This is an alternate, fictionalized Qing setting. Where it differs from history, please refer to the historical records. Theme: Stay true to yourself and live a comfortable life.
