The Begonias Bloom as Ever

Ji Ruotang lost both her parents and went to live with her maternal grandparents. Her grandfather was honored in the Lingyan Pavilion and ranked first among the ten founding heroes of the dynasty. The Pingjiang Duke's mansion was a household of wealth and prestige, and some of that fortune rubbed off on her. Once she came of age, suitors flocked to her like fish crossing a river. There was a Hanlin Academy scholar's illegitimate son, a dim-witted young master from a marquis's household, a spoiled brat from a military family... The list went on and on. Ji Ruotang was unwilling to marry any of them, but her aunt accused her of being too picky and insisted she choose someone. With no other choice, Ji Ruotang picked up a lone man off the street. She solemnly declared to her aunt that he was her true love, that she would marry no one but him in this lifetime, and that otherwise she would cut off her hair and become a nun. Before her aunt could even answer, her grandfather's face darkened. "How dare you!" When Ji Ruotang picked him up, she never imagined that this seemingly gentle and charming young gentleman was actually the ruthless emperor himself, the one spoken of in legends. Premise: To be added.
