The Bennet Family's Little Madman

A self-indulgent promo for my other story next door. Please add it to your collection _(:з"∠)_ [Classics Crossover] A Duchess's Journey to Love One-line summary: I have a red rose and a white rose. Which one will you choose? (A love story between a pampered noblewoman and a wealthy older man, set against the backdrop of La Dame aux Camélias.) [Twilight Crossover] I Kiss the Starlight One-line summary: Kill that rose! (Vampires who try to kill the singer often end up on a long, miserable quest to win her back. Just ask Caius.) Main Story Blurb Lydia, the Bennet family's “little madwoman,” said: “I want to become the most fashion-forward woman of my age.” And she did. A few notes: * Lydia/Darcy. Canon pairing broken, be warned. A love story between a romantic French-style wild rose and a traditional English gentleman of noble birth. * The story is set in the early nineteenth century, during the middle and later stages of the First Industrial Revolution (1860s–1840s), before and into the early Victorian era (1837–1901). * The timeline, fashion, and other details have been creatively altered and blended. Please don't scrutinize them too closely. * Lydia has some memories from a modern French fashion designer. She is neither reborn nor has she transmigrated; she's half a local. * Extremely Mary Sue. Don't worry about scientific accuracy (?) * Check out Xiao Shi's author page for more great stories [obedient.jpg] * That's all! Before she can enjoy the wonderful, happy life of a duchess, she's informed that she has a nominally adopted older sister, Marguerite, a notorious socialite. Holy Mother Mary! Isn't this La Dame aux Camélias?! While she's still wondering what to do about the heroine, Adele realizes even more quickly after a ball: Holy Mother Mary, I've fallen in love at first sight with that bastard Armand's father! What could possibly taste sweeter than love?! It would be even better if I hadn't fallen for an older nobleman _(:з"∠)_ * Monsieur Duval, the older man: “I always hope certain young ladies will be a little more reserved, a little more ladylike.” Adele Giraud, Duchess: “? All right, then… goodbye?” Monsieur Duval, the older man: “No, no, I mean Please grant me your rose, beautiful lady, my beloved.” Theme:
