The Poor Little One Turns Troublemaker in a Wealthy Family

The day Tongtong found out her dad had a new wife on the side, she had a nightmare. She dreamed that one day her dad would kick her and her mom out of the house for the sake of his new wife.

Her mom would die in their little rented apartment because they couldn’t afford her treatment. The little mermaid she’d raised would cry herself blind and die, all because she wanted to cry more pearls for Tongtong to sell.

She would be left all alone, living with a desire for revenge.

But in the end, she wouldn’t get her revenge.

The son her dad had with his new wife would push her from a tall building, and the whole family would say she had killed herself.

After waking up, Tongtong hugged her mom, who was lying in the hospital bed. The first thing she did was find the uncle who knew medicine.

“Uncle, is the medicine Dad gives Mom better? How come she’s getting sicker?”

His expression changed.

The second thing she did was find the company elder who doted on his wife.

“Uncle, how many wives do you have? My dad has two. My mom is the old wife, and there’s a new wife outside. How can the old wife keep from getting kicked out?”

His face darkened.

The third thing she did was find the company elder who doted on his granddaughter.

“Grandpa, my dad is so good to Mom. He feels bad because she’s sick, so he found a new wife to have a little sister for me. She’s going to have a little brother soon, too!”

The old man smashed the floor with his cane.

Before long, Dad came rushing home, his eyes red, and pointed at Tongtong as he yelled, “What on earth have you been saying to people? You little brat!”

Tongtong was confused. What was a brat?

But being a brat had lots of perks.

Now Dad was the one getting kicked out of the house instead of her and Mom. Mom got better, and her little mermaid was safe and sound.

She loved being a brat!
