[Western Crossover] Headliner

After transmigrating, Catherine became a reporter, responsible for selectively publishing the daily news stories. Her goal was to make the newspaper famous, get promoted and earn a raise, and receive all kinds of generous subsidies to cure her little sister's illness. In reality, she was simply being forced to repeat the same thirty-day cycle over and over. So when she faced that desk again, Catherine no longer felt flustered. She was sure she could get a HAPPY ENDING this time, too. ...Or not. Looking at the story in front of her, Catherine couldn't hold back her urge to curse. Weren't the original choices about whether to take in refugees and whether to promote genetic modification? When did mutants, superheroes, and all kinds of criminals show up?! She knew that choosing whether or not to publish a story could affect the world and what happened to its people, but what was this piece titled "Gotham Needs the Death Penalty"?! Was there even anything to think about?! Catherine snatched up the stamp beside her and stamped it "PASS."

Please note:

1. A short story written for fun (probably). Updates whenever, no logic.

2. Inspired by the Steam game HEADLINER. It's 40% off for the Christmas sale, so I recommend picking it up.

3. The characters may or may not have pairings.

4. The female lead and her entire family are original characters.

5. This story won't be behind a paywall, but I can't devote all my time to it. I'll do my best to write more.

6. To be added.
