"Ow!" A sharp pain jolted her awake. Meiyuan came to from her drowsy afternoon nap and realized it had only been a dream. Disappointed, she got up and decided to go for a walk. As soon as she opened the door, she saw Kakashi leaning against the entrance to her home. Then she remembered that she had made plans to go on an outing with Guy and Kakashi that afternoon.
"Let's go." Meiyuan clenched her hands and gathered the courage to confess to the retreating figure. "Kakashi, I..."
Before she could finish, Guy jumped down from the roof of her building and looked at her curiously. "Meiyuan, were you going to say something?"
Meiyuan's eyes dimmed as she closed the door, shaking her head vigorously. Her first confession had failed.
