This story isn't based on real people!] Bai Xuchuan is a top-tier star, gorgeous and blessed with a sweet voice, but a terrible actor. One day, he gets a precious chance to film a bed scene with an award-winning actor. After 29 consecutive botched takes, the director is about to lose it and tells the star to go “find the feeling” on his own. That night, wearing only a bathrobe and clutching a bottle of baijiu and his script, the star knocks on the award-winning actor's door. The two spend three hours rehearsing the scene. The next day, the star's acting improves by leaps and bounds. The director asks in shock, “What happened?” The star just smiles without answering. The award-winning actor glances at him and replies on his behalf: “He's a method actor.” Award-winning actor He Yanzhi's career is blessed with success, and he has an entire business empire behind him. The only problem is that he's far too old-fashioned and can't keep up with the times. Until one day, a fan spots him at Kaifeng Entertainment's all-star concert, holding a glow stick in Bai Xuchuan's fan color and wearing fluorescent fan gear...? After the internet explodes, He Yanzhi calmly denies the rumors: “I'm supporting my little sister's idol. Don't read too much into it.” * Later, He Yanzhi goes on a liking spree, showering posts by Bai Xuchuan-and-himself shippers with likes, then accidentally switches to his main account. Even his own fans are used to their idol's verbal blunders and clueless antics. So no one bothers to manage his image or spend money on him. Everyone just enjoys his good looks for free. And yet, he's still... A walking trendsetter, a luxury brand billboard on legs, a favorite subject for phone cameras, an icon of beauty in his era. Fans and haters alike use the same lines: “What does he have besides his face?” “He traded seven lifetimes of intelligence for one lifetime of beauty.” “If you can't speak properly, just keep quiet and then stun everyone.” Everyone thinks his face is all he's got, and that he'll be finished once his looks fade. But at twenty-five, this block of wood whom everyone is waiting to see leave showbiz finally starts to come around. “There's something to this performance.
