Bodhi Hymn
Tang Dynasty
The Bodhi tree was never a tree,
The bright mirror never had a stand.
The Buddha nature is always pure and still,
So where could any dust settle?
The mind is the Bodhi tree,
The body is the bright mirror's stand.
The mirror is pure to begin with,
So where could any dust stain it?
The Bodhi tree was never a tree,
The bright mirror never had a stand.
There is nothing there to begin with,
So where could dust take hold?
Seek Bodhi only within your heart. Why seek the profound elsewhere?
They say that if you cultivate by this path, the Western Paradise is right before you!
If Wang Manchun had an older sister as clear as a bright mirror, would everything have been different?
All right, I started writing this for Wang Manchun. If someone had reached out to her, she might not have fallen so far.
No romance. Wang Jingqing and Ming Jing were born together, grew up together, fell in love together, and bore the burden of their family and wielded power together. They are two blossoms that are not twins, their fates intertwined, blooming and falling side by side.
