When Huo Xiting and Qiao Youcheng ended their dating contract,
Qiao Youcheng choked back tears as she professed her love, gushing about his mature soul and handsome face. She was so pitiful, so deeply in love.
But Huo Xiting remained unmoved. He transferred her a sum of money and walked away without a backward glance.
The next time they met, that woman was radiant amid the bright lights and nightlife.
Huo Xiting's expression turned complicated. He set down his glass and said to his friend, "She actually changed herself to win me back. I really was too heartless back then."
He rose calmly, ready to accept Qiao Youcheng's plea to get back together.
But Qiao Youcheng seemed not to have noticed him at all. She went straight to another man and leaned against him bonelessly, her voice sweet and seductive.
The man looked familiar. He was Huo Xiting's nephew.
His friend spat out a mouthful of wine.
Huo Xiting forced himself to stay calm, his voice icy. "Nephews take after their uncles. She just can't have the man she loves. I forgive her."
-
Qiao Youcheng was a woman from a small town. She loved wealth more than anything and feared poverty most of all.
But she had once pursued Huo Chi.
She pursued him without asking for anything in return.
Huo Chi was handsome and aloof, from a wealthy family, well-read, perfect in every way. He was known as an untouchable flower on a high mountain.
But those weren't the things Qiao Youcheng loved about him.
What she loved most was the tiny red mole beneath Huo Chi's eye.
His uncle had one too, only his looked more like it.
More like the only man she had ever truly loved.
[Things to know before reading]
1. A beauty who doesn't care about anything except her first love VS a possessive, milky-sweet aloof beauty.
2. The heroine pursues people for impure reasons, has psychological issues, an ex-boyfriend, smokes, and has a flawed personality. Aside from being beautiful, good at fighting, and talented, she's the kind of person who'd get flamed in a short video during the early part of the story.
3. I'm writing whatever I feel like!
Upcoming story:
The Frail White Moonlight and Her Mad Dog Boy Band
In stories about stand-ins, there's always a pitiful white moonlight. They are adored early on, but once everyone "comes to their senses," they end up abandoned by all and leave in misery.
As she died, Jiang Baiyi swore she wouldn't be a white moonlight. If she was going to be anything, she'd be a black moonlight: gentle and considerate on the surface, wielding a knife behind the scenes. She would make them pay in blood.
Of course, having a frail, delicate body made it far too difficult for Jiang Baiyi to stab anyone.
So she started raising dogs.
Her devoted boyfriend had her killed so he could abandon her.
After she was reborn, her boyfriend's younger brother fell in love with her. When people questioned him, the young man took her side and told his brother, "Sorry, I believe her."
Her childhood sweetheart, whom she trusted, framed her for his stand-in and left her homeless.
She found his pathological, gloomy illegitimate older brother, comforted and redeemed him, and became his drug. Later, the illegitimate son took over the family fortune, while her childhood sweetheart ended up on the streets, full of regret.
Her older male cousin didn't believe her and drove her out of the family home.
She seduced his adoptive father and made sure he lost his family name.
In the end, even the stand-in fell in love with her and got into a brawl with a huge knife because someone said one bad thing about her.
Years later, someone asked Jiang Baiyi why her life was so carefree.
Jiang Baiyi: "I raise dogs. Dogs are obedient and adorable, and they take care of most of your problems."
Goodbye, Trash Man, I've Fallen for His Replacement
[An arrogant, tsundere heiress VS a seemingly sweet but secretly scheming man]
At first, Rong Shu only wanted to find a stand-in to make Cheng Jue jealous.
But the stand-in was just too irresistible.
Handsome and dashing, elegant and refined, gentle as jade, and considerate!
He never got jealous, knew how to care for her, could cook and keep house, and could even help her have a baby!
Rong Shu: Goodbye, trash man. I choose the stand-in.

Theme: Hardship is life's teacher.
This brother is so disgusting. He also said that he wanted the little girl back then to be happy. Is it true that he tortured the heroine for so many years? He is a hypocritical and self-motivated person. I feel that he can be a policeman and it is not an important role. Otherwise, his character and mentality will definitely be dismissed. Moreover, his father should have a criminal record and he will not be able to pass the political review.
Isn't the ending a bit sloppy? . If Mr. Huo is blind, he will be blind. If Xiao Huo gets back together, he will get back together. . . Well
It feels so rushed... So sloppy... It seems like I am rushing to finish it...
Ah, I also want to know what history Huo Xiting has with Xiao Qiao.
The ending is too perfunctory~
Xiao Qiao had no impression of him. Uncle Huo didn't know whether to say he was miserable or lucky.
Tsk, Xiao Gu, Anthracene... The vicious male supporting actor
Maybe I've read too many male-abuse books, so this chapter really made me feel uncomfortable. Why should the heroine be treated like this? And I feel like the author is a bit abusive towards the heroine in the back.
Wow wow wow, that's great. There aren't too many misunderstandings.
