[Ace of Diamond] The Slugger Strikes

[Ace of Diamond] The Power Hitter Takes the Field Blurb: The first Chinese player to make it to MLB, a cleanup hitter for the Los Angeles Angels, a five-time consecutive All-Star, and later the head coach of China's national youth team... With all those honors to his name, Zong Shi felt he had no regrets in life. He was the picture-perfect winner. Who could have guessed that one misstep down a flight of stairs would leave him waking up as Asakura Zong Shi, a thirteen-year-old Japanese boy who had just enrolled at Akagi Middle School in the countryside? Zong Shi: Smiling on the outside, cursing on the inside! There was no way he could immigrate to China. It probably wasn't going to happen in this lifetime. Zong Shi lay flat: Forget it. I'll just live like this. With a hopeless life like mine, I might as well eat, sleep, and wait for death. "Hey, kid! Come play baseball with us!" Sawamura Eijun reached out a hand of friendship to Asakura. Zong Shi, a dead fish with no dreams in his eyes: I'm already sick of it. Later, standing at the very top of Koshien, Zong Shi: This is actually great. This is the story of a laid-back boy rediscovering his passion for baseball and striving toward his dreams with his friends. (Not a bromance, though.) 1. Divided into middle school and high school arcs. 2. Follows the original work, with baseball games as the focus. Please ignore any plot holes. 3. Main pairing: Asakura Zong Shi x Yuki Tetsuya. 4. The world of Ace of Diamond that Zong Shi lives in is a parallel world, not the anime world, and Zong Shi doesn't know the plot.
