After Xu Sheng finally won Lu Li's heart two years ago, he struck while the iron was hot and proposed. After they married, he got the happy life with Lu Li that he'd always wanted. Two years later, one morning, Lu Li called him and said in a calm voice, "Let's get divorced." Perhaps there was a parallel world. In that parallel world, after receiving the call, Xu Sheng would have flatly told him to get that idea out of his head. But in this world, Xu Sheng merely froze for two seconds. Those two seconds held every moment of their past, rushing by at the speed of light. Numb with shock, he opened his mouth and agreed to Lu Li's request. Their love and marriage had reached the end of the road. When Xu Sheng thought back on it, he could only feel that Lu Li had treated him abominably. With one phone call, he'd kicked Xu Sheng away like a football, turning two years of affection into a huge joke. It became an obsession for Xu Sheng. So, with an incredibly long reaction time, he made a decision years later: he would win Lu Li back, then end their romance with a phone call. If he couldn't make Lu Li fall for him again, he'd dig a hole and bury himself in it, then put up a gravestone that read, "Xu Sheng died of shame here," so Lu Li would spend the rest of his life feeling guilty. Meanwhile, Lu Li had been waiting for Xu Sheng to come back after their divorce. He waited for many years. After years apart, they reunite. Their love never truly severed, and they find their way back to each other.
