Three years after they last saw each other, Duan Xiaoran was having a hard time as someone held her face in their hands.

Wen Ruocheng asked, "What are we to each other?"

"Best friends."

After all that torment, she thought she had successfully played the straight girl and concealed her pent-up feelings. But then Wen Ruocheng's lips slowly drew closer.

She asked again, "And what are we to each other now?"

"Best... intimate friends."

Wen Ruocheng already had a way to handle her cowardice. She gave a soft laugh and lowered her gaze.

"And now?"

As if she had thought of something, Duan Xiaoran blushed and stammered, "Best... bedmates!"
