Sui He and Runyu: Even the Heartless Can Be Moved

As if parting with the east wind, there must be some reason; crimson silk hangs high, unable to withstand the spring. If words could make her understood, she'd be a beauty capable of toppling kingdoms; though she seems unfeeling, she still moves the heart. What I want to write isn't really a love story, but a story of saving and being saved. At first, Sui He tries to save herself, moving past the mistakes and wounds of her previous life. Later she meets Run Yu and discovers that, like her, he is deeply calculating, but he is kinder, purer, and more compassionate. In short, he is a better version of herself. Her feelings for Run Yu begin as those of a kindred spirit, then gratitude, and eventually romantic love. But at the deepest level, she sees herself in him. She loves him with the desire to save him, as if protecting him means protecting herself. And this true self of hers can then be cast aside and sacrificed to help Run Yu, the "better version of herself," succeed. My Sui He will put herself aside to save Run Yu. But in the end, the dark little princess is saved by Run Yu, that "better version of herself," and the two of them welcome a new beginning together. Theme: A love that saves them both
